Do you have a standout nurse anesthesiology resident in your program who would be interested in participating in the Resident Mentoring Program during the 2026 Mid-Year Assembly (MYA) in Washington, DC? We are looking for the next generation of CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists to take part in the 2026 Resident Mentoring Program.
To help ensure a personal and meaningful experience for your student, only 50-60 RRNAs from around the country have the opportunity to participate in this popular program each year. The purpose of the program is to provide a positive, welcoming, motivational, and educational experience to resident leaders, chosen by their program administrators, through mentorship from experienced CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists.
Serious consideration should be given to nominating students who actively and consistently demonstrate leadership qualities and skills. We are looking for residents who are committed, show initiative, have a genuine interest in learning more about AANA and the nurse anesthesiology profession, and show potentiation for being active in the association on a state or national level in the future.
It is an honor for residents to participate in this program! We ask you to make certain to impart this to the individual you are nominating. After we receive your nomination for the program, we will notify the resident with details outlining his or her responsibilities, what is expected on mentoring day, and serve as an official confirmation of the student’s acceptance to participate and comply with the rules.
All program directors and assistant program directors will have received an email to nominate a resident for the mentorship program. If you have any questions or are interested in nominating a resident, contact Joanne Marquez at pr@aana.com.
Deadline for nominations: March 8, 2026.
